Directed Perception was founded with a mission to be a leading
manufacturer of innovative devices and software for the intelligent
control of sensors and sensor processing. The Company believes
in quality, innovation, and customer support being its key
drivers of success.
Directed Perception's flagship miniature computer-controlled
pan-tilt tracking mount was one of the first of its kind,
and it has been sold to OEMs and end-users worldwide since
1992. The Company's patented products are used in a wide range
of industries including Security & Surveillance, Industrial
Automation, Robotics, Communications, Military/Aerospace,
Law Enforcement, Education, R&D, Webcams, and Teleconferencing/distance
learning. Sensors and electronics controlled with Directed
Perception products include video cameras, IR sensors, laser
rangers, microwave antennas, thermo-imaging sensors, and more.
Directed Perception designs and manufactures the products it offers and maintains R&D and manufacturing facilities at its headquarters in Burlingame, CA. Final assembly and test of all products is done in the company’s own facilities to help assure high product quality. Over the past 10 years the company has developed, and works to maintain, strong relationships with its suppliers helping assure prompt delivery and enabling the company to meet growing demand.
Directed Perception sells its products direct and through
distributors and partners worldwide.
The Company has enjoyed continued growth since its inception and has a solid foundation

Directed Perception’s management team has decades of experience in a variety of technology areas including machine vision, intelligent sensor control, robotics, networking, and control systems in commercial, R&D, and defense applications. The company maintains engineering capabilities in mechanical design, electronics, and embedded and network software development.
